ELECTRIC VEHICLE

Charge Points

The conversion to electric vehicles is on the rise since the UK Government confirmed that all new cars from 2030-2035 must be electric. The range of electric vehicles is bigger than ever, from Ford to Ferrari all manufacturers are making the move to electric.

WHY YOU SHOULD

Install EV Charge Points

Making the most use of your commercial car park is essential; an EV charger makes a real statement on sustainability to staff and visitors. It also offers the opportunity to charge electric vehicles on-site but to generate an income from low grade parking spaces, aesthetically improve your carpark, visibly promote your corporate social responsibility (CRS) credentials.

EV chargers can be installed independently or in conjunction with a roof mounted solar PV system on your main premises. We offer advice regarding electric vehicle charging and install a wide range of smart EV charge points offering both rapid and standard charge for commercial use.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE

To charge a car?

EV Charging can take anywhere between 30 minutes and 10 hours. The length of time it takes to charge is dependent on multiple factors. This includes: how long it takes depends on the car battery size, how many miles you do between charges, and the power of the charger you’re using.

There are 3 main types:

Slow – 3kW used to charge overnight or during working hours. 8-10 hours to fully charge.
Fast – 7kW to 22kW usually found in car parks or supermarkets. 3-4 hours to fully charge.
Rapid – upwards of 43kW found at motorway service stations or petrol stations. Takes 30-60 minutes to fully charge.
