Rothbury Hall

Flowing Energy Solutions completed a full energy system upgrade at Rothbury Hall, a valued community hub in Northumberland. The project involved removing the hall’s outdated energy infrastructure and replacing it with a modern, sustainable solution tailored for energy efficiency and resilience.
We installed a 9.1kW solar PV array, carefully positioned for maximum generation throughout the year. This was paired with Tesla Powerwall battery storage to provide a reliable backup energy source and help the hall transition towards energy independence.
The new system ensures significantly improved efficiency, reduced reliance on the grid, and greater resilience during power outages—offering both environmental and practical benefits to the community.

Client: Domestic Retrofit Programme

Flowing Energy Solutions is proud to be making a real-world impact through a wide-reaching domestic retrofit programme, supporting 427 households in their journey toward lower energy bills and a smaller carbon footprint.
Each home in the programme is set to save approximately £300 and 2,000 kWh of electricity annually, thanks to the installation of highly efficient solar PV systems. That’s a combined reduction of over 854,000 kWh per year — the equivalent of avoiding 4,270 long-haul flights in carbon emissions.
Our installations feature premium solar PV technology, including AIKO 455w panels integrated using GSE in-roof systems, and Solis string inverters for reliable performance. Where suitable, we’ve also deployed Eddi & Harvi devices to optimise self-consumption and maximise savings for homeowners.

Peterlee Pathways
Client: Durham County Council
Project Duration: 6 Weeks
Flowing Energy Solutions was appointed by Durham County Council to deliver a full solar PV installation as part of the refurbishment works at the Peterlee Pathways facility.
The project involved the installation of a 48.8kW in-roof PV system using GSE integration trays and flashings, paired with high-performance LONGi 440M panels and a Solis 5G 40kW 3-phase inverter. Alongside the PV system, we installed all new electrical switchgear, isolators, cabling, and containment to support safe and efficient operation.
To support delivery, we utilised our sister companies — Ingleford Scaffolding provided the scaffolding, while John Flowers Roofing carried out the removal of the existing roof tiles and felt, replacing them with new materials to accommodate the in-roof PV array.
A key element of this project was working in a live environment. To minimise disruption to the building’s occupants, the works were carefully staged in line with a tailored programme, ensuring continuity of operations throughout.
